“It started with one ordinary moment. I was eating chicken strips, and Max looked up at me like he always did — waiting for a bite. But he has diabetes, and I froze. Could I give him a tiny piece? Would the breading, salt, or seasoning hurt him? Was I overthinking it, or about to make things worse?

I did what every worried pet parent does. I searched online, opened ten tabs, read conflicting answers, and still didn’t feel sure. Calling a vet for every food question isn’t always realistic, but guessing didn’t feel right either.
