3. We do not sell or share your personal information
Peeku does not sell your personal information, and does not share it with third parties for those parties’ own purposes or for cross-context behavioral advertising or marketing. We do not display third-party advertising in the Service. We disclose personal information only: (a) to service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract to operate the Service (see Section 4); (b) as required by law or to protect rights and safety (see Section 5); and (c) in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition, with notice where required.
4. Service providers
We rely on a limited set of trusted service providers (processors and subprocessors) that are contractually bound to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us — for example, cloud hosting, database, authentication, and messaging infrastructure (such as Google Cloud and Firebase), our subscription manager, and error-diagnostics tools. These providers are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
5. Legal & safety disclosures
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms; to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Peeku, our users, or the public.
6. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.
7. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your rights & choices
You may access, correct, export, or delete much of your information directly in the App (for example, edit or delete a Pet Profile, or delete your account). You can also contact us at legal@getpeeku.ai to exercise these rights. You may control notifications in your device or app settings. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
9. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to: know and access the personal information we collect and how we use it; request correction of inaccurate personal information; request deletion of your personal information; and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” (for cross-context behavioral advertising) your personal information, and therefore do not offer an opt-out of sale/share. Because some pet information you provide (such as health conditions) may be considered sensitive, we use it only to provide the Service you request and not to infer characteristics about you. To exercise your rights, contact legal@getpeeku.ai; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
